It sound like you are experiencing "bleed" 

"Bleed" is when your voice is picked up by both microphones. First yours - and then slightly later, the second microphone. 

This will create a roomy effect. 

The same goes for the person talking into the other microphone. 

To reduce "bleed" you should minimise the amount of sound being picked up by the second microphone.

Try some of the following: 

- Move the microphones further apart

- Set the polar pattern of the microphones "Cardiode" 

- Reduce the input gain and move closer to the microphone when talking

- If, when moving closer to the microphone, you experience "pop" sounds - then use a pop filter
