Record internal sound on Mac - Zoom, Skype, etc.

This uses Skype as an example, but it works the same way for Zoom and any other third party Voice Over IP application.

In Hindenburg Pro, arm the track where you want to record your side of the conversation and set the source of that track to your microphone.

In Hindenburg Pro, arm the track where you want to record the guest side of the conversation. On this same track, control-click the red circle button and set Record Monitor to On. (This allows you hear the other side of the conversation.) And set the source of this track to Other Applications > Stereo.

In Skype > Audio and Video Preferences... > Audio, set the Microphone to your microphone.

In Skype > Audio and Video Preferences... > Audio, set the Speaker to Hindenburg.

Close preferences.

Press record and conduct your interview. I usually call my cell phone and test it out first before calling my interviewee.

After your interview, be sure to put the Skype Speaker back to the way you usually have it or you find yourself in a call wondering why you can't hear the other person. (Skype will be sending the sound to Hindenburg.)

Here you can watch a short video tutorial on how to record remote interviews on Mac:

We hope this helps!
