Trouble Installing Hindenburg on Windows?

If you're having issues installing Hindenburg on your Windows computer, it's often due to Windows security settings that restrict app installations. This can happen especially if your system is set to only allow apps from the Microsoft Store.

Here are a few steps you can follow to resolve this:

1. Check for Administrator Privileges

To install most software—including Hindenburg—you need administrator rights.

  • Make sure you’re logged into an account with admin privileges.

  • If you’re using a work or school computer, contact your IT department for assistance.

2. Allow Apps from Anywhere

Windows may block installations from outside the Microsoft Store. To change this setting:

  • Go to Start > Settings > Apps.

  • Select Advanced app settings (or "Choose where to get apps").

  • Change the setting from "The Microsoft Store only" to "Anywhere" or "Allow apps from anywhere".

After making these changes, try installing Hindenburg again.

3. Windows SmartScreen Blocking the Installer

Windows SmartScreen might prevent the installer from running.

  • If you see a "Windows protected your PC" warning:

    • Click More info.

    • Then click Run anyway to proceed with the installation.
