Transcription Service not responding on Mac
If you’re unable to use the transcription feature in Hindenburg PRO, the transcription service may not be running properly. Follow the steps below to check and restart it manually.
Step 1: Open the Terminal App
Open the Terminal application on your Mac.
You can find it by opening Spotlight Search (Cmd + Space) and typing Terminal.
Step 2: Navigate to the Transcription Folder
Copy and paste the following command into Terminal, then press Enter:
cd /Library/Application\ Support/Hindenburg/Transcription2
This command opens the folder where the transcription service is installed.
Step 3: Start the Transcription Service
Next, run the service manually by entering this command:
./TranscriptionService
Then press Enter.
Step 4: Confirm That It’s Working
If the service is running correctly, you should see the following message:
Hello, Transcription
This indicates that the transcription service is active and ready to use.
Step 5: If You See an Error
If you receive an error message instead of “Hello, Transcription,” please:
Take a screenshot of the entire Terminal window, or
Copy the error text and send it to our support team at support@hindenburg.com
