An error occurred while saving the comment Jesse McCune commentedThis is critical, especially with the new video track. Since we are opening a file via XML, we don't have the ability to use a template, so every time I open an XML file, I have to rebuild each effects chain from scratch. This gets tiring when I work on numerous videos each week and creates a big inefficiency in workflow. Even worse when I use the same chain on myself each time and can't have a preset to load the same plugins and settings quickly.

An error occurred while saving the comment Jesse McCune commentedThis has to be one of the most annoying workflow things I run into on a daily basis. Fixing this so the spacebar always works as a play/stop button would reduce my biggest source of frustration when editing in Hindenburg.

We have been looking at how we can implement “delete silence” in Hindenburg. I think we should be able to come up with a solution for that in the near future.
We have been working on some other features that touch the same area, with out latest Beta feature called “Magic Levels”.
It’s a non destructive way of applying Side Chain Gate – so that mixing multiple recordings become very easy.
No the same, I know – be it might help out in the situations where you are looking to reduce Bleed or Noisefloor. An error occurred while saving the comment Jesse McCune commentedTo add to this, Magic Levels just isn't an adequate replacement for strip silence. It misses the mark quite frequently. I spend too much time fixing its results.
With the transcription feature, it is even more important to have a strip silence function since the transcription is so, so sensitive. Not only does it transcribe bleed when people record in the same room, it actually transcribes my wife who is in the next room with the door closed. Her audio is not even audible at normal listening volume. This makes the transcript a mess until all of that is removed.
I agree with info's comment below. It's great to have templates, but we can't use them with the video track since we have to open the XML as a project. This makes the video track too tedious to use for me. It's a nice idea, but without templates, or better yet, being able to save plugin chains, it isn't useful. The ability to work more efficiently on audio in Hindy is offset by the sheer amount of time it takes to set up the project.
