Saving effect presets
I'm missing the functionality of saving presets of effects or VST's.
So you can choose from your favorite settings instead of recreating them each time.

This is critical, especially with the new video track. Since we are opening a file via XML, we don't have the ability to use a template, so every time I open an XML file, I have to rebuild each effects chain from scratch. This gets tiring when I work on numerous videos each week and creates a big inefficiency in workflow. Even worse when I use the same chain on myself each time and can't have a preset to load the same plugins and settings quickly.

Further to my comment - I've tried this now and it worked. You just need to erase the previous recording in the timeline and record/import the new stuff on the same track, and the effects remain in place with the same settings. Bit of a fudge but it seems to work.

Me too - surely there must be a way to do this. Perhaps create a file with the effects applied, then open this to use as a template for each new session?

I second this. Very important function for audio engineer-types who use channel strips &/or multiple plug-ins with lots of buttons and knobs. Right now it is the 'bad old days' of taking screen captures to remember knob settings. (used to write physical knob settings on paper templates)

Agree - I love the ease with which effects can be applied, but being able to save an effects chain would certainly help with efficiency and consistency.
