Ability to lock tracks into groups
It would be nice to have a feature that "locks" tracks so that the default is that they're edited together. This prevents a synching hassle when you forget to select multiple tracks before editing.
You can now lock tracks together in the 1.50 release.

Hi there,
I'm afraid we have just not had the resources to add this feature yet, even though it is on our to do list.
Our apologies for the long wait and thanks for our patience.

Any news on this request? I see it's been under review for almost a year now.
Thanks

Yes! I can't tell you how many time I've trimmed a bit off the first soundbite in my story (forgetting, as you say, to select all the tracks), only to have to go back and manually slide every other bite and bit of narration in the piece. And even if I do remember to select all the tracks, I end up cutting not only the bite but my narration, too, and have to go back and re-trim that track, too.
It's been years since I used Pro Tools, but I believe its "slip/shuffle" modes addressed this issue (see "edit modes" here: http://transom.org/2014/pro-tools-2-editing-basics).
