I would like to be able to record into the field recorder using my Apple AirPods. I tested and the recorder works with wired headphones but not wireless. It would be nice have the option for wireless recording.2 votes
As a journalist i'm very picky about who I do share my data with (even indirectly). So I really don't want to upload my recordings to soundcloud (and neither i'd do with dropbox, google-drive, etc).
if you would add an option under "share" to upload recordings to a free-to-pick hoster, using the webdav-protocol it would help much. like i have set-up my own little cloud (using nextcloud/owncloud) to exactly control access of my data. and - as a nice side-effect - they stay with me!
so the feature-request is: pls add an option to upload files to nextcloud (aka webdav)
I am a musician and filmmaker and love your app for quickly recording and editing ideas. The one thing I want, however, is that I can name my session as soon as I open the app and then, most importantly, that that name shows up in the iTunes folder when I want to move it off my iPhone to my computer.
Currently, the folder in iTunes File Sharing looks something like this: "2014-11-11 10-38-41 Files"
I would like it to look like this: "Song Name" OR "Song Name 2014-11-11 10-38-41 Files" OR "2014-11-11 10-38-41 Files Song Name"

The field recorder was implemented long before file sharing became available, so the internal format was sufficient back then.
We’ll see if we can rename the file/folder on the fly if you give it a name in session properties.
When adjusting the recording level I miss a peak hold bar that makes it easier to read the indicator and estimate headroom.4 votes
It would be wonderful to be able to record host-guest interview tracks in FR using two mics. Is there a way for the app to be able to sync with two outboard Bluetooth mics?
A dream use case is being able to do walk and talk interviews (say, in a museum or historic city center) using high quality, noise isolating Bluetooth headsets. Even for normal field interviews, it would be great to be able to use independent handheld cardioid mics.
Any chance this may fit within your product plans? Thank you!9 votes
i guess you need to build-in a kind of basic WebDAV-client...1 vote
First, I love your iPhone app and use it all the time. I am not a journalist, but a musician, and I find your app the easiest to use for getting ideas down quickly. The scrubbing is great amongst many other features.
However, there are a few things I would love to see.
in IOS 10 the interface is not correct and has some artifacting around the playback line
MOST IMPORTANT: Able to custom name audio files especially for easy ID in iTunes file sharing. I can rename Sessions in the Sessions window, but those file names do not…

Just testing out Hinderburg Journalist and the Field Recorder (lite) for my podcast "Sleep With Me".
Really awesome products and impressed with it so far.
Any plans to add the voice profiler to the field recorder...just in case I wanted to test out recording and editing in the field?
Do you offer a discount if I purchase the Field Recorder and Hindenberg Jounrlaist or the pro version?
Are there any Updates planned for the Field Recorder (bigger Display at iPhone 6 plus)? It will be also interesting, if the Field Recorder would probably change to an full audio editor for the new iPad Pro.
I'm a very satisfied user with Hindenburg Journalist at the Mac. Thank You!4 votes
Working on it, no launch date set yet though.
How about Audiobus support added to Field Recorder?? (http://audiob.us)1 vote
None of the exporting options work for me apart from wired transfer into iTunes. I am currently using Audiofile Engineering Wave Editor on OSX.
I can't find a useful way to transfer files wireless to my MacBook. Email can hardly handle such huge files. FTP is no longer practical since Maverick. Soundcloud is no local transfer.
Of course, any WiFi transfer would be helpful. I haven't figured out how to use Bonjour yet.1 vote

Hindenburg Field Recorder Lite App, iPhone 4s
For me as a musician is is necessary to record several tracks in one project. For example when I have an idea of a nice melody that I want to show my band members, I would like to record the chords, and in a second take I would like to record the melody. In the description of the App it says that you can add tracks such as background noises or comments. But in the lite version I don't see this…3 votes
