Exporting Markers & Cue Points to CSV. TXT. Files
Exporting Markers & Cue Points to CSV. TXT. Files would help creating timestamps and show notes in descriptions for YouTube and podcast platforms.

Ripple record
I would like to have a functionality like ripple record, meaning one could record directly into an existing recording on one track and all parts behind that recording shift to the right (recordings on other tracks as well).

Session import: option to specify into existing tracks or new tracks and to specify whether effects should be imported as well
I think the session import feature is stellar. However, I wish there was an option to specify whether the imported tracks are to be imported into existing tracks or should create new tracks. Additionally, if they are to be imported into new tracks, it would be great to have the option to also import any effects and settings.
Also, if it were possible to import across sample rates, that would be great.
It’s probably an edge case. But it would be nice.
Still convinced Hindenburg is the best :-)

Expanding music report for different types of content
The music report is AMAZING. It seems that Hindy detects what is music and what isnt.I would benefit greatly from functionality that allows me to decide what I need to report on. Perhaps the ability to report by track or by source file. I have several use cases, but the most significant need comes from the fact that I pay for licensing of archival material, and seconds really impact the cost! So reporting on this would be amazing.

Publish to Ivoox
I have been waiting for this option for years. Ivoox is the most popular podcasting service in Spanish. Recently Ivoox renewed its interface to upload podcasts, I think it is a good time for Hindenburg to include Ivoox in the publish option.

Words per Minute in Narrator
I would love to see my average words per minute for my current session in Narrator. This would help maintain a consistent pace and staying within the recommended target of 130-140 WPM for most books.
As long as a manuscript is imported, it would be pretty doable to calculate WPM from the text's words divided by the book's time… but I'm not a programmer.

Dropping markers from mobile devices.
Would love to be able to listen to my recording on my iphone and with the simple touch of a button, drop markers where I need to make edits and then import those markers (linked to timecode?) into my hindenburg edit software for my final editing. This would be a great streamline to workflow because I could listen to my recorded session for necessary edits while driving.

Search and replace/global changes
I've found myself spending a lot of time removing umms, vocal "tics" and mouth sounds from different interview subjects. Could there be a way that the program might recognize these regions in a sort of find/search/replace type feature, where these can be isolated then split out to make global edits, deletes, or level changes? Thanks-Sean

Mute Button
Please add a mute channel button to use while recording. Something similar to Zencastr. This would allow us to mute coughs, etc., on the fly while recording sound.

Jump to previous/next marker
Currently PgUp/PgDn navigates to the previous/next event. Often there are quite many of these events because of the numerous splices. It would be a nice feature to have a shortcut that only jumps to markers (and maybe cue points) ignoring splices in between.

Ctrl+arrows = super speed rew/ff
Hi, I'd like an option, for example ctrl + arrow keys, that would speed up ff/rew. Sometimes I want to run through audio faster than it's doing now. A modifier key (ctrl) that speeds it up a lot would be great.
Thanks!

Keyboard toggle for linked tracks
I'd love to be able to deactivate and reactivate linked tracks from the keyboard.
My editing process is about a 50/50 split between linked tracks being a help and being a hindrance, and not only is deactivating it slow, but reactivating it currently involves redefining it one mouse click at a time.

Remember log in password in the software.
It would be nice if you could provide any of the following solutions:
- save password and automatically log us in
- allow us to use our password manager
- any other option that doesn't require a log in as frequently as it's required now, which seems like a weekly thing2 votes -
Printable list of clips (w/timestamps?)
In my workflow, I like to step away from the editor and look at the story as it stands on paper, to get a different perspective about its flow. One way I do this is to take screengrabs of the timeline at a level of zoom that shows the clip names, then print them out... it would be SO much faster and better if I could print a simple text file that listed the clips in the workspace in the order they appear - maybe even a printable version of the workspace? The most important thing would be that the…

Customizing favorites
Hey-I've been doing some of your YouTube webinars, and in the last one, they talked about the Favorites tool. While it's an awesome way to recall audio, Is there a way to customize that function for a specific project? Or when populating the favorites, would it be possible to make sub lists or folders in there that could be renamed and used as needed? I'm working on 3-4 different podcasts right now, and it would be great to set that up so I could archive and find clips in a more organized way. Thanks-

Audio input/output settings
Allow HJ to recognize the system default inputs and outputs as the input/output selections in the app as other apps (such as Logic Pro) do. This simplifies the process of coordinating these settings between the OS and the app.

Color coding for manuscripts
Would it be possible to allow us to select text inside the manuscript window and select a text and/or background color? I often do this when narrating to make it easier to see which voices are coming up, or who is speaking in a particular passage (which can sometimes be confusing, depending on how the book is written). Having a way to differentiate voices would greatly improve efficacy for reading in many cases.

clarify export dialogue
The best evidence suggests that when exporting a file, The export dialogue parameters are misleading. If once Alex -16 LUFS and mono, the best evidence suggests that it is auto adjusted to be -19 LUFS, which is the mono equivalent to -16 stereo. But there’s no indication in the dialog box that this is happening. Therefore, if an informed user, recognizing that -19 LUFS is the correct setting for mono, manually changes the output setting to -19 LUFS mono, they would — if the protocol continues — get a resultant file of -22 LUFS. This automatic adjustment and conversion is…

Drag playback head
Currently, the only way to move the playback head is to click to the new location. This is non-standard and can also be inconvenient. To make HJP consistent with other DAW's and more usable (and intuitive), user should be able to "grab" the playback head with the mouse and drag it to a new location.
1 voteGood idea. Will probably be included in a build within the next months.
