keyboard shortcuts
I'd like to see some keyboard shortcuts. When I am selecting audio from the raw track to put into the clipboard, I now use the mouse to select it. I'd love to see a keyboard shortcut for "in" and "out" points of the selection and then a keyboard shortcut to place the clip in the clipboard.

Help
On the whole, the help pages are good, with Step-by-step and videos. But sometimes more detail is needed, especially on sound-related matters. I suggest you describe the Why, not just the How.

Option-click on 'Solo' button will clear other currently solo'd tracks
This is quite common on most DAWs. You really want to 'solo' one track, but don't want to find, and click-to-clear, all the other currently solo'd tracks. Less of an issue on the scale of Hindenburg projects, but such a time saver. Should be easy. :-)
When you're in the neighborhood (code wise), might consider it for the 'Mute' buttons as well. Same concept.
1 voteOption-click will now toggle mute and solo for all tracks. Included in 1.52.2110

Merge multiple sessions in HABC
When we produce large books (studie literature) or books containing several languages, several narrators are working on the same project at the same time, readig different parts.
It would be a nice if we could merge these parts, included structure, pagenum or other elements. Importing audiofiles and adding these elements afterwards takes to much time..Eivind NLB

MP4 export
Please consider adding MP4 to the list of audio export formats. NPR says this is preferred for its new NPR One app. (See, for example, https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/1237299-instructions-for-adding-content-to-npr-one.html.)

export to and import from protools etc
I have a project coming up that will require me to give over my feature to the radio station's in house sound engineers and directors. They will want to be able to edit it using their own audio software.
23 votesYes, we dunnit!
Please see details on how you now can export AAF for ProTools and AES31 for WaveLab etc, as well as import PT session files.

A lasso
Click, drag across multiple tracks, select a block of regions. Would turn 20 seconds of clicking and holding shift into a 1 second of click and drag.

Hold “Shift” and drag a lasso. -
Noisegate
Actually I am recording with different microphones and use the whole tracks with and without speach on them. So every track is a mixture from speaking and not speaking. This makes cutting for me much easier but when we sit next to each other of course the microphone(s) which are not active also get some sound from the speaker. To improve sound, a noisegate feature would be a good thing.
thanks!
20 votesWe have made an alternative solution to gate. It’s called Magic Levels and works as a non-destructive “side chained gate”

This is now possible on the latest version of iOS – so we have implemented that in Hindenburg Field Recorder.

Ability to lock tracks into groups
It would be nice to have a feature that "locks" tracks so that the default is that they're edited together. This prevents a synching hassle when you forget to select multiple tracks before editing.

Automatic Updates
Please allow Hindenburg to automatically look for updates. I just realized, there was a newer version available, that fixed an annoying bug, but I had to manually check on the website.
Making changelogs available would help, too.
