When I want a text transcription of a group of voices in a meeting -- I play the file into my headphones --- then I speak the words into Microsoft Speech Recognition - a resident app that is well trained to my voice.

It's kludgy, but I get about 95% of what I need in text... suffices for notes or for searching for short clips from huge content.

I sure wish I could just route that sound file into a transcriber -- even if it was a crappy job, it would help with planning and producing. Right now it looks ridiculous to do it - since I need two computers.
