Join clips
Joining two clips on the same track, say by clicking the line between them, could really help to keep the tracks "clean" and simple.
When you have to move a section it would make it easier when you only have to move one large bit in stead of 5 smaller.
Think of it as a permanent Group.
Currently we are beta testing “join Clip” or Merge, as we call it. It’s a not destructive way of merging multiple clips.

When is the next major upgrade coming? I've been using this product for years but your updates are glacial. Case below --- it's FIVE YEARS LATER.

There is a workaround that I find quite useful: if you select all the clips you want to join and press CTRL (CMD on apple computers) + G you can group the clips together and move them around as one. By pressing ctrl + g again you ungroup them. It's not joining exactly but it does let you move a sequence made up of several clips around instead of having to move them one by one.

This has been signaled by several users since 2015! How is it possible that no solution was found? Audacity (free and open sources software with way less resources) has managed to do this? I had this purchased by my university but I will argue against getting an institutional license because of this issue. Too bad, otherwise it has a nice interface and beginners would enjoy learning audio editing on Hindenburg

Consolidate in Ableton Live. Join in Logic Pro x. Strongly missed in Hindenburg.

Is this idea still being pursued? When I introduced Hindenburg to my colleagues this was one of the first things they asked me about.

Same for me - love Hindenburg so far in the trial period but no joining function to move the final long pieces of audio around with one click is a significant draw back. Have you given up on introducing this feature for technical reasons?

The workaround is to export selection.

This is the most asked for function when I'm teaching Hindenburg to new radio journalists...

Wow. Can't believe this awesome software doesn't have a "join clip" feature yet. Used it all the time in Garageband after I get segments edited the way I want. At least I can select all the clips together and move them around that way.

Any update on this feature? I'm enjoying the trial period now and weighing whether it is worth it for me to purchase the pro version, but the lack of ability to rejoin clips together is really messing with my workflow. I have a lot of little "um"s to remove, and fragmenting a track into dozens of clips is quite frustrating.

+1 on Tom's comment. I had trimmed a music clip and spliced a new ending in, so that it would better match the voiceover timing. I grouped the clips, and then when I went to select a region and duck the music, I found that the app still treats the clips individually in terms of the volume envelope handles. I had to make some splits, eyeball some fades, and do a lot of sliding around to get it close. What I thought would take me 15 seconds took me an hour. I've ended up going back to Reaper for now. Man! I was just getting excited about to this app. ;(

I was trying to do this today, and was surprised I couldn't merge/glue/marry clips - whatever you want to call it. I was trying to use the "duck" method but I needed to duck several clips at once and apparently that doesn't work.

This is an excellent idea (i have the same idea) and I hope we can find a way of doing that in the future
