Allow transcription to remain when re-linking clips
As it currently stands, when we relink an audio file, the transcription is lost, requiring a new transcription of the re-linked file. I will re-link a file when I need to apply additional processing in RX (or other standalone tools). This means being charged multiple times for the same piece of audio, along with having to wait for it to be transcribed again.
I have two solutions for this:
- provide us the option of maintaining the existing transcript when re-linking the audio
- tie the transcript to the region instead of the audio file2 votes -
Remember log in password in the software.
It would be nice if you could provide any of the following solutions:
- save password and automatically log us in
- allow us to use our password manager
- any other option that doesn't require a log in as frequently as it's required now, which seems like a weekly thing2 votes -
More Searchable Manuscript
The manuscript search function isn't very useful when limited to one word. It would be much more useful if we could search for phrases and entire sentences so we can quickly find the piece of audio we're looking for.

Clipboard fixes for 2.0
I've gotten to the part of the edit where it's nearly impossible to proceed
with the new Clipboard. The most central problem is when I try and paste a
clip from the edit into a particular bin, it won't let me. It pastes
SOMEWHERE, but not necessarily in the bin I need it to be in. Then I have
to do a search for it, and the serach result still doesnt tell me where
that byte is (which group it mysteriously saved to), so i have to drag it
into the edit and THEN try pasting it into the right…5 votes -
Time code in the transcription
The only one I miss are time codes in the transcription. I'd like to know, if there is any way to get the transcript with time codes. I actually get the script only as a very long text block without any time codes or even any paragraphs. That makes it difficult to orientate in the script of a audio file with, lets say, a lenght ot 15 or 20 minutes. It would also help, if there were different paragraphes for different speakers in the audio file.

Fix the Pro 2 Clipboard
So I downloaded the new Pro 2 so that I could get more functionality out of
the clipboard, which I rely on intensively. In one morning of editing, here
are the glitches I've found. I write this to you because I RELY on
Hindenburg every day, and I want to keep going with it, but these weird
glitches make me lose faith in the program. I'll probably buy this after
the trial ends, but I'd really like to know if these things will be
fixed...and I worry there will be lots more glitches to come.Hindy Clipboard glitches

Pop up window for not being able to transcribe merged clips
I see that there is a message that Merged clips can’t be transcribed. I would like to have an alert pop up that states this track can’t be transcribed because it contains merged tracks. The current popup doesn’t make that piece of information clear and appears like the traditional transcription pop up.

Question, really...
I read a recent review (James Cridland, PodNews, Feb. 2023) in which he was very impressed with his beta version of Pro v2. Congratulations! He mentioned that the final release was expected to include a feature for reducing/eliminating mouth sounds and breaths.
As someone interested in adopting Narrator to record a three-book project, I'm wondering whether that feature may be included SOON in Narrator. Currently, the website description says that I must use an external plug-in for minimizing mouth sounds.
As you know, this would be a HUGE boost to productivity. I hope you will include this feature directly in…

New folder for WAV copy when exporting audiobooks
Hi!
I produce a lot of audiobooks in Daisy format but I also like to keep a WAV copy on my machine for future use.
As of right now, whenever I export a book and select "Generate WAV copy" all files (including all of the Daisy ones) end up in the same folder - and in some cases, where a book has many chapters or sublevels, things can get quite chaotic as you can see in the screenshot attached.
Would it be possible to have Narrator create a subfolder in which either the Daisy or the WAV files go once…1 vote -
Flag duplicates when importing clipboards
Hey Hindy Team,
I'd love for Hindy to flag duplicates when importing a clipboard from another session. My current problem is that when I do that, many of the tracks are duplicates. Instead of recognizing that and giving me the option to not import duplicates, Hindy just imports all of them. I'd love to not have to comb through and import clips from a specific session individually, but also don't love having a repetitive clipboard that's hard to sort though.
Thanks for your hard work!

Let the spacebar play audio while plug ins are open
A welcomed feature would be to allow playback to be started and stopped with the space bar, even when plugins are open. It is frustrating to need to quickly stop when I'm adjusting a plugin setting but having to mouse to the actual button.

Please add Batch Export of Files
As a radio producer editing news cuts daily it would be very helpful if you could add Batch exporting of individual audio files to Hindenburg PRO.
Similarly if you could add a programmable Hotkey function too like you do in Narrator that would be very helpful

Multiple Session "Defaults" or Profiles
I run multiple podcasts, and having a default session with the track order, names, and lines is great, but now for the second and third podcasts I need to edit that every time.
Could we get multiple profiles, so I could load in my Podcast1 settings, then my podcast2 settings?

Expanding music report for different types of content
The music report is AMAZING. It seems that Hindy detects what is music and what isnt.I would benefit greatly from functionality that allows me to decide what I need to report on. Perhaps the ability to report by track or by source file. I have several use cases, but the most significant need comes from the fact that I pay for licensing of archival material, and seconds really impact the cost! So reporting on this would be amazing.

Audio syncing
I will have two stems - one for each mic of the two presenters for my podcast. Obviously, the other's mic will pick up sound when the other presenter is talking. If these files go out of sync at all it can be an absolute nightmare to manually resync them (depending on how early I catch it). Adobe Premire has a syncing feature that will match the audio to the video. But I'm wondering if Hindenberg can have a feature that syncs selected stems. It would be a dream!

Copy effects
Simpy the ability to either copy/paste or even better drag and drop audio effects from on track to the other, would save me many clicks and sub menus.
Alternatively being able to create a shortcut to instantly add a specific effect to a track (fx ctr+alt+n could add noice reduction to a track)3 votes -
Hindenburg macro keypad
Imagine a world where you can edit without excess buttons on your keyboard, no need to move the mouse. Imagine siving precious time in your audio editing!
Like other editing softwares, davinci and their quickedit or the logic keyboards, create a costumisable keyboard with Hindenburg commands and knob for quicker editing. Scroll through the audio with a knob and have in, out, b, save, x,z, mute, solo and all the other commands we use every day just at hand! (and please do include shortcut to select all clips to the right, and all audio on the selected track.

Timestamps to YouTube
This message is a suggestion for Hindenburg Pro - adding the ability to export Markers & Cue Points to CSV. or TXT. files to help with adding timestamps on YouTube video podcasts.

Exporting Markers & Cue Points to CSV. TXT. Files
Exporting Markers & Cue Points to CSV. TXT. Files would help creating timestamps and show notes in descriptions for YouTube and podcast platforms.

Words per Minute in Narrator
I would love to see my average words per minute for my current session in Narrator. This would help maintain a consistent pace and staying within the recommended target of 130-140 WPM for most books.
As long as a manuscript is imported, it would be pretty doable to calculate WPM from the text's words divided by the book's time… but I'm not a programmer.
