How can we improve Hindy products?

  1. Add cue points on volume curve

    Something that has been bugging me since I started working with Hindenburg: how to create volume curves. It's pretty straightforward for fade in/out and simple ducking, but more complex curves (e.g. for music) are a pain to create. Is there a deeper reason why it's not possible to create cue points on the curve that you can drag up and down, like in other DAWs? I'm working on a project at the moment where I create audio curves like on the attached screenshot. While it is possible to do that in Hindy, it would be a lot easier if you…

  2. copy plugin levels/setting between sessions

    It'd be great if we could copy/paste or export the specific settings for plugins on individual tracks between sessions the same way we're able to move audio files and regions.

  3. Ability to move order of tracks around

    Ability to move order of tracks around. I like having my speaking tracks near each other but if I load tracks at different times I cant move them. Would love to move tracks up and down so certain ones can be near each other. Thanks

  4. Add "Publish to YouTube"

    Simple: Add a setting to the publish panel to uplod a file as video to youtube.
    Take the image from the properties as an image for the video.

  5. Standard Waveform Option

    I use Hindy and love it ... but I also use Reaper, Audition, and other DAWs.

    The most frustrating part of editing in Hindy is the visual of the waveform. It simply takes longer to find the features in the visual when making edits.

    Reaper is a great model to look at in this regard.

  6. Ripple record

    I would like to have a functionality like ripple record, meaning one could record directly into an existing recording on one track and all parts behind that recording shift to the right (recordings on other tracks as well).

  8. HABC for iPad OS

    Greetings,

    Currently I am using Hindenburg Journalist Pro to record audiobooks, which I read of an iPad Pro.
    Seeing as the iPad Pro has a USB-C port that can power most audio interfaces these days, I was thinking it would be fantastic to have HABC running directly on the iPad.
    Thus eliminating the need for a separate computer to do the recording on.

  9. Effect chain with more slots

    The effect chain should be extensible, to allow for a (potentially) unlimited number of effects to be inserted. 6 is barely enough, and I sometimes need to pre-process audio into another application, which defeats the purpose of a software as wonderful as HJP.

  10. Assign Voice Profile window the Voice Profile name

    When having several Voice Profiles is difficult to know which one is in use. At times a friend assists me and is quite difficult to verify which profile he uses. Having the Profile Name in the Profile Window will solve this problem and perhaps would increase the use of this feature among users.

  13. Audio input/output settings

    Allow HJ to recognize the system default inputs and outputs as the input/output selections in the app as other apps (such as Logic Pro) do. This simplifies the process of coordinating these settings between the OS and the app.

  14. How about ordering this list by date, with the newest and not the oldest ideas first?

    Newest-first makes more sense, as we all have more interest in that which is fresh and new than we do in ideas that appeared years ago.

  15. Implement snap comparable to the capability in other editing programs.

    In such editors as DaVinci Resolve, snap attaches to all relevant features on the timeline, making it extremely useful. This capability should be in Journalist as well.

  16. Peak lights go out ...

    Hi,

    In the level meters, would it be possible to have the peak lights for L and R channel to burn for a limited time, say three (3) seconds, and then go out, automatically ...?
    • If so, I much more easy could see each and every time the sound peaks, instead of now, when I know that it has peaked, but not when.
    • If You Donn’t want it to be so, make it a choice in the settings, to choose between a solid light and a light that goes out after a certain time.

  19. Airpod Support

    I would like to be able to record into the field recorder using my Apple AirPods. I tested and the recorder works with wired headphones but not wireless. It would be nice have the option for wireless recording.

  20. While recording, ability to insert a tone or marker..

    While recording an interview, would be helpful to be able to insert a "tone" or a "marker" in the recording so that one can return to that spot int he recording to pull out a clip highlight.
