Apple Silicon support
It would be great to see a version released which supports the M1/ARM architecture.

Freeze playhead and scroll tracks
I would love fro be able to freeze the playhead and scroll the tracks. This way I can keep my eyes fixed on the playhead in the center and, when I stop playback to make an edit, I would know that the audio to be corrected is just to the left of the center of the screen. It would require much less eye and mouse movement.
45 votesFixed playhead is unfortunately not something we can do in the current version, but we are hoping we can implement it in the upcoming 2.0

Change order of tracks
It would be nice to be able to change the order of the tracks just by dragging them to a new position. Minor thing, but if it is possible...

radio presenter & producer28 votesThis is in our backlog for features in Hindenburg 2.0.
We are still working on it and how to be able to bring more news regarding the development. -
MIDI or HUI control
My workflow would greatly improve if I could use a control surface/mixer interface with Hindenburg. Most of them use MIDI to connect (e.g. behringer, presonus faderport, etc.). It's incredibly disappointing that software this expensive has no compatibility with any of the control surfaces I use.

"De-Bugging" Tracks
I routinely edit 4-6 hour long podcasts with multiple tracks, some of which only contain short interview snippets. Although I have streamlined my workflow with Hindy considerably, now and then a minor mistake on my part can lead to massive problems. For example: If I cut (ctrl+x) something out of the project and forget to select all tracks, the audio is no longer arranged in the same way that I want it to. Yes, this is visible but when projects become this large, even on a bigger screen you might not be able to spot a mistake only a minute…

Lock Track
Add a LOCK TRACK button so that an individual track can be locked so other editing operations will not change it. All regions would stay in place on that track and could not be deleted if locked.
Journalist PRO is GREAT!!!!!
This control could be added to this drop-down in the photo attached. Then the blue could turn red to show the track is locked.
15 votesIt is a good idea. I’ll add it to the Backlog.

Mixing Stereo Down to Mono
Instead of splitting stereo tracks to the left and right, I wish there were a way to combine them together, "mixing it down to mono," for a fuller sound. Audacity does this reasonably well.

Support for double-ender recordings (SquadCast, Ringr, Zencastr, etc.)
Since quality from Skype and Google Hangouts is often dodgy (not studio quality), and not fool-proof (e.g. difficult to get secondary, back-up recordings), I use SquadCast and Ringr as my preferred platforms for double-ender recordings. It would be fantastic if Hindenburg Journalist PRO could natively support dealing and integrating with one or more of these platforms.

Improved handling of cue points
Working with cue points is very uncomfortable, they are not listed in the marker window, so it's hard to keep an overview. Could you list them in there or give them their own window?

Resync tracks
You know how it goes: you're editing a multitrack file, think you're deleting portions from all the tracks and five minutes later realize you'd only activated one track, thus pushing much of the project out of sync.
Cmd-z to the rescue, but that means losing all the cuts you've made.
So what about a way to restore the sync between two or more audio files? I'm not quite sure how to implement it UI/UX wise, but I'm pretty sure that even a clumsy version would be super helpful.
Very preliminary sketch of the result attached in clumsy screenshots.

A horizontal line for sound level
I'd love to be able to place a line, that you could see and that would reach from one end of the track window to the other side, at a certain decibel level. That would help set all fades in different places to the same level. So if I always start my vocals over music when the music has faded to a certain point, I can then easily replicate that by seeing a horizontal line, which can be adjusted up or down, to ensure that I align my next inserted vocal at the point the music reaches the same level.

mark while recording
Maybe you can already do this, but it would be great if you could mark the audio track AS you're recording.

EQ preset
Knowing the frequency response of the microphones I am using (e.g. Sennheiser MD 42) when working on recorded material I always find myself repeating the same EQ settings for the same source (microphone).
It would be great to be able to save personal presets.
(like already with the more complex "voice profile")

Auto-save/Back-up Feature
When my colleague tried to save her project at the end of the day, Hindenburg crashed and her whole work was gone when she reopend the project.
Is there something like an auto-save feature that prevents such incidents in the future?10 votes -
Add Punch and Roll + Manuscript Features From Narrator to Pro
I'm doing podcasts and audiobooks.
It would be great to have the punch and roll feature included in Pro as well as having a script on the screen like manuscript. I always use a script for the podcasts I record.

Sidechain ducking is great.
In Reaper I can make a sidechain. My voice triggers a compressor and so the ducking is automated.
I wish this could be in Hindenburg Journalist PRO.

Change Shortcuts/Commands
I would love to change the keyboard settings and use my own shortcuts. Is there a way to change the commands on Hindenburg (currently trial version, Windows).
Thanks!

Automatic crossfades for all cuts
Hello,
I use Hindenburg for podcast editing, and one thing I'd love is the ability to shift-select across several cuts and hit 'F' (or some other key/combination) to add crossfades between every cut in the selected region. Right now, I have to crossfade across all my cuts manually, and it's very time consuming. If I could pave over abrupt cuts and clipped breaths automatically, it would be so, so useful. Thanks!

Add an adjustable true peak option for Journalist Pro
I love the option to change loudness targets when publishing or exporting in Journalist Pro. I would also like to have the option to change the true peak limit to -1.5, -2, or -3 dB to allow for different platform and media needs.
