  1. Surely there should not be a limit on offline transcription using Hindenburg Pro, right?

There should not be a limit to the transcription on perpetual licenses. If the software is utilizing the local processor offline without any cloud based processing, then the time limit is completely artificial.

  2. More languages to transcribe

It would be great to be able to transcribe audios in other languages such as Galician. And also the possibility to detect several languages in the same audio.

  3. Automatically cut quotes from a track using time stamps from the manuscript

One of the tedious work when producing a podcast or radio feature is cutting out the quotes from an interview recording. I suggest a feature to automatize this following a script with time codes, see below. I use trint.com for the podcast manuscript, so the time codes are generated when copy-pasting from the transcript.

    Speaker 1: [00:02:05] First quote [00:02:12]

    Speaker 1: [00:03:38] Second quote [00:03:39]

    Speaker 1: [00:03:55] Third quote [00:03:56]

    etc.

Note: Trint also puts the duration of the quote in brackets.
    Speaker 1: [00:02:21] Another quote [00:02:37][16.3]

  4. Magnetic docking

    Hi,

I'm looking for a way that there is a kind of magnetic docking (like in Davinci Resolve when I'm working with video) when I move a clip on the same track to another. Isn't there an option like that or do I just not find it?

    Best wishes,

    Christian

  6. Optimized version for Windows on ARM64

It would be great to see a version optimized to run with Windows on ARM64 supporting the NPU in the new Qualcomm X Elite SOCs

  7. Way to delete keyframes

When using Magic Levels especially, sometimes the system generates keyframes and handles that don't necessarily make any sense. There is no easy way to remove those keyframes at the moment, they can only be moved.

Being able to delete a keyframe for audio fading would make workflows much simpler and dramatically improve the use of Magic Levels.

  8. Automating Panning, Effects, and Plugins

    Hello,

I would like to request that you add automation support for panning, effects, and plugins. I am upgrading from an app on my iPad because of limitations, and I got Hindenburg free with my Vocaster Two, so it was the obvious upgrade. It is so awesome to see a DAW designed specifically with podcasters in mind, and the lack of automation for anything other than gain is pretty much my only gripe. I make a non-fiction podcast with a lot of music and an audio-drama podcast, both of which require me to frequently adjust things like panning, reverb, pitch,…

  9. Make Hindenburg a multi-core program.

I am running into problems with Hindenburg handling newer audio plugins since it is limited to using a single core. I have a powerful computer being held back by Hindenburg because it can only use 1/8th of the available processing power.

  10. Keyboard toggle for linked tracks

I'd love to be able to deactivate and reactivate linked tracks from the keyboard.

My editing process is about a 50/50 split between linked tracks being a help and being a hindrance, and not only is deactivating it slow, but reactivating it currently involves redefining it one mouse click at a time.

  11. Multitrack Ducking before and after In and out Points

I would like to change the volume of the first three tracks with one drag (they are linked), the way you see it in the screenshot.

I know of CMD+F and Shift+D for Ramp In and Ducking, which is not what I need, as the ramp I am looking for is supposed to start a little later and not at the beginning of the tracks.
But when I set In and Out Point and then try to toggle the volume of the three tracks down, it doesn't take the selection into account. Instead it toggles down the whole region on…

  12. Solo / Mute linked tracks

It would be really useful to be able to solo or mute linked tracks (perhaps with a shortcut, like Cmd + S). Music Stems are usually linked, so they don't go out of sync, and sometimes you need to listen just to the music to check an edit, finetune, etc. If you have 10 stems, soloing each one of them each time you want to check something takes a lot of time. The workaround is to mute the voice tracks, but again we are talking about multiple clicks if you have more than one voice vs one command that you…

  13. Stationary playhead

It would be a nice option to have the playhead stationary in the center of the screen and have the waveforms move in the background. Everything relates to the playhead, and it would be great not to chase that across the screen all the time.

  17. Please add support for the new universal DAWproject session exchange format - it's free and open-source

The new DAWproject format can transfer entire sessions to/from different DAW platforms, making it easier and more efficient to collaborate with people via Hindenburg. Unlike the outdated OMF/AAF formats, DAWproject includes audio and MIDI along with volume/pan/sends, fades, clip gain, warping, pitch transposition, generic EQ/comp/gate/limiter settings for built-in inserts, plugin settings and automation data. DAWformat is also a convenient way to archive sessions for storage.

It's free and open-source, and all the necessary information is documented on GitHub here: https://github.com/bitwig/dawproject#readme

Thanks for your consideration, and please vote and comment if you support this idea!

  18. Maintain Word Manuscript Formatting in Narrator

Or support html exported from Word.
Manuscripts imported from Word lose important formatting (like italics). Which is not usable.
Typical HTML files and filtered HTML exports from Word have to be manually edited for Hindenburg to import them due to the tags (meta, style, class, etc.) and characters that aren't supported (em dashes, smart quotes, ellipses, etc.). All of this is wasted effort, and not the job of narration.
Without the capability to accurately represent a manuscript from the author/publisher, this can't be taken seriously as a professional narration product.

  19. ARA2 support

    Hi Hindy Team,

wouldn't it be nice to add ARA2 support to Hindenburg so post processing the files would even be easier?

    Have a great day

  20. Mouse tap to start and pause scrolling

Being able to pause or resume the waveform scroll with a tap or double tap on the touchpad instead of having to use the space bar would increase efficiency while editing.
