More powerful EQ & compressor tools
Hi users & Hindenburg team
I really like the simple design and functionallity of Hindenburg Journalist Pro. But simplicity sometimes comes at a price.
Right now, the EQ tool only offers manipulating the lower, middle and higher ranges of the spectrum. That's just way too simple. The attached image will easily show you why.
The compressor only offers more or less compression. Way too simple again.
Coming from Adobe Audition, I'm used to more powerful tools I don't want to miss. Please add some advanced EQ & compression options to the existing ones. Let us manipulate EQ at specific frequencies,…

Update for Field Recorder
Are there any Updates planned for the Field Recorder (bigger Display at iPhone 6 plus)? It will be also interesting, if the Field Recorder would probably change to an full audio editor for the new iPad Pro.
I'm a very satisfied user with Hindenburg Journalist at the Mac. Thank You!4 votesWorking on it, no launch date set yet though.

Marker usable in record for marking errors when reading
When you are reading you sometimes make mistakes but want to stay in the text and continue reading and edit later. Now I am using a sound signal 'bipp' to mark mistakes which is to be cut out. This makes the reading much more efficient and I can read f.ex a chapter in one go and edit the text afterwards. I would like one 'button' (M for eksample) that I easily can press while in record to mark the mistake.
I have tried to create a marker ... but haven't been able to get it to work.
best regards christin…

More intuitive clipboard/markers reattachment.
I am having difficulty reattaching the clipboard/markers to their "stationary" position on the workstation. Sometimes the field turns blue-signalling reattachment-but generally this doesn't happen. Maybe a hotkey would alleviate this.

exporting metadata
I'm working on creating a multimedia slideshow. I'd love to do it in Hindenburg, but Hindy doesn't offer all the visual transition effects and video editing that I need. So I'm using Adobe Premiere instead. However, I'd like to log my tape in Hindy before importing it to Premiere. Is there a way of transferring the metadata on my tracks in Hindy to Premiere? I want to label my clips in Hindy and then have the labels show up in Premiere. Is there a way to do that?

More flexible clipboards
It would be nice to be able to have two columns in the clipboard section, or create a custom grid pattern so I'm not limited by the height of my screen (I currently have my clipboards on a separate screen than the rest of Hindenburg Journalist, and also using the max number of clipboards)

Cursor behavior for marking and selecting
When I listen to my raw audio, I want to select clips that I will put on the clipboard. To do that I will set marks. But the cursor behavior changes when I hover over the mark in such a way that I cannot begin a selection there. So now I delete a mark in order to start the selection there and move the outpoint to the other mark. But that deletion is just one step that hinders my workflow. It is cumbersome. I'd love a way to have a little space above the mark where I can begin to…

Record Timer
I've decided to use Hindenburg's interface to transfer archival interviews stored on DAT to my computer. A helpful feature would be a timer that would stop recording at a pre-set length.
All the best.

A bit difficult to move the white forward and back track at det bottom
Is it posible to... in an easier way move the 'back and forth'- arrow at det bottom. I would like to have it right under the recordingarea. But it is not easy to move up. And also maybe make it a bit bigger/higher/wider for easier access.

Having an undo button in the Narrative window in HABC
Hi
for easier access i would like to have an Undo button i the recording mode/narrative. The panel is so small at the top (on my normal laptop) and also at work, on a bigger screen, I have to lift my arm to press the button everytime i make a mistake. Not good when you are using the program every day. (i'll try to use the keyboard comands but easier with mouse...Best regards Christin

Clipboard always visible
Hi there!
I would love, if the clipboard with all the clips that I extracted and named would be visible all the time – also if I switching from Hindenburg to, lets say, Microsoft Word, for writing the script parallel on a second screen.
Now it is a problem. I switch to a different program then Hindenburg, and the clipboard disappears. So I cannot peak, which soundbites I can use in my manuscript. Thanks a lot!

Ability to mute the person, that makes the call
It would be good to be able to mute oneself, when the source is talking to avoid breathing and background-noise from myself.

empty bin
there needs to be a feature that allows you to empty all the unused takes once the seesion is done. These wav files are eating up my hard drive.

Duplicate track
Once you have applied plugins to a track it would be very usefull to be able to copy or duplicate the track - complete with its plugins settings and perhapsalso audiofiles.
For example if I edit version one then I want to continue with the short version or the alternative edit version two.
Thats when I miss the duplicate track utility.// thanks

Preserve groups on clipboard import
When importing clipboards from project A with groups A1...A4 into project B all clips in group A1 are added to B1, A2 to B2, and so on. This also happens when groups have custom names. At least in this case it would make sense to add the custom named group as it is in project A as an additional group in project B. If groups in A and B have identical names or standard names, I would like to have a choice to either merge the groups as it is happening now or import them as additional groups.
