Marker Import
I really would like to import markers off a .txt or .csv file format. At the moment you can only import from other Hindi-Projects and I LOVE editing in Hindenburg. Sometimes recordings happen in other Applications and id like to transfer markers over to Hindenburg as easily as I can do it with audio files

Support for (educational) screencasts
I think it would be an major improvement to add the possibility of importing a video track, so one can see the video in Hindenburg Journalist directly while recording the voiceover track.
This would be a great incentive for all VLOGGers as well to use HJ.1 vote -
Sonix compatibility
Sorry for double-posting: forgot I had this option too.
I am an old, enthusiastic user of HJ, but a new, happy user of Sonix[dot]ai, and would love the ability to export from there into a non-destructive .nhsx format (which you can currently do for Adobe Auduition, etc).
5 votesWe have made the some changes and exchanged information with Sonix so the ball is all in their court.
They expect to be able to save nhsx files from within Sonix. -
Reverse audio
Thank you for the opportunity to try out Journalist Pro, so far the acquaintance
has been quite nice. Nevertheless there is one feature I miss or can't find. Is it possible to reverse a audiofile in editing or to change the speed?1 vote -
Hindenburg Journalist Pro
I upgraded to Hindenburg Journalist Pro but my version still says Hindenburg when I open it up. My understanding is this:
"You will also see "Hindenburg Journalist PRO" in the title bar at the top of the program."
How can I verify that I'm using Journalist Pro?

Sample Projects for practice
I would like to Journalist Pro have some practice exercises created so new users could get some hands on experience. These projects would include the audio files with basic instructions. Here are some examples that I would like to see.
*Radio news story with one actuality included
*Radio news story with two actualities included
*Radio News feature with multiple interviews
*Radio Commercial :60 with narration, background music and ambience
* Five minute mini podcast to edit from start to finish
These examples I believe would allow new users to learn some valuable skills as the complexity of the assignments increased…1 vote -
Automatic fades by shortcut
I´m happy to see that there are some new features are to come with the next update, including fades.
As a Protools user I love the feature to fade the start and the end of a region automatically by pressing "F". It would be nice to have this in Hindy too. Do you think you could add this on the todo list for the coming update?

Cursor Behaviour like in Protools
I guess, many Hindy users may work with both Hindi and Protools as I do. I´m still confused a tiny but permanent problem: the behaviour of the Cursor (move/edit) in Hindy and PT is interchanged. Hindi: move = above top, edit = below; PT: move = below, edit = above. It would be nice to change this or better: make it possible to choose the favorite behaviour in the settings.

Full Screen Mode
I love Full Screen Modes - press F11 and get a clutter-free screen, allowing you to focus entirely on your work. Is it difficult to implement?

Support for in-app browsing of Garageband sounds/loops
The in app browser of media such as Garageband sounds and loops, or FinalCut sound effects, etc. is a handy feature of Apple's pro apps. It would be super helpful to be able to easily access these within Hindenburg.

Allow audio level to be increased more than +15 dB
As a public affairs journalist, sometimes I have to rely on others for audio — court proceedings, for example — and sometimes it comes in way too low, even after increasing it the maximum 15 dB. In these cases, I could maximize the level, export, reimport, and increase the level again. But typically I just open the file in Adobe Audition and do the increase there.
I'm sure there's a reason for the 15 dB cap, but it would be nice to be able to exceed it when necessary.
Thanks for considering it!

Add the exact time point where the track was cut for clipboard
Hi,
I'm currently running into a serious issue because I'm working with two distinct audio tracks that go hand in hand (an interview). I'm torn between just editing from the track or organizing everything into the clipboard first. The issue with the latter is I don't know how to sync my clips up later, especially when there's interjection. Currently, all the clipboard does is show how long the clip is (which isn't really important) instead of at what time the clip was cut (for example, 45 seconds). If I had that, I would know exactly how to put the puzzle…

Move all markers 10-15 seconds earlier
USE CASE: Recording in-person customer interviews with your mobile app -- which is awesome by the way.
PROBLEM: my customer says something great. I add a marker. When I play back the audio from the marker, I always have to go backwards 10-15 seconds, because I set the marker after I realize something great was said, not before it. :) I have to do that with every marker made with the mobile device.
OPPORTUNITY: I believe you would be the only recording application which actually solves this problem for journalist, marketers and others.
if you solve the problem I would…

Bug: Wrong channel recorded
OS: Windows 10
Version: Hindenburg 1.82.2302I noticed the following behavior and I think, this is a bug:
When I connect a Zoom H6 Fiel recorder to the computer and use the the H6 in as interface in multi track mode, I can choose different inputs for different tracks, for example Microphone 3 and 4 in Hindenburg for H6 channels 1 and 2 (XLR inputs).
I can see the levels of both microphones in Hindenburg separately on both tracks, just as I would expect.
But ony the first of the both channels is recorded on both tracks. The second microphone…

Using Logitech MX Master 2S thumb wheel with Hindenburg Journalist
The ability of using the thumb wheel would be a nice feature for scrolling the audio. However, currently the rolling of the thumb wheel of the Logitech MX Master 2S mouse only moves the scroll box on the scrollbar, while the waveform display stays at the same position.
Maybe there is just a small setting to be reconfigured for this to work.

Full DAW for iOS
As many media content providers are using the iPad in favour of a laptop, it would make perfect sense to offer a fully featured DAW.
The success of apps such as Lumafusion and FilmicPro and Affinity photo are leading the way... but we are still waiting for the first serious iOS DAW11 votes -
Warning when overwriting a file when publishing
I produce a podcast every day, and do this by trying to remember to "save as" a new file every day. I don't always remember.
When publishing audio, Hindenburg never checks if you're overwriting a file that already exists. This is not what normally happens on MacOS or Windows - you're normally told "do you want to overwrite this file?" or something - and this behaviour ought to be the default within Hindenburg, to my mind.
(I can see the merits of being able to switch an error message like this off, too).
