Hotkey/Icon for "Properties..."
It would be nice if I could quickly access the "Properties..." option without having to click through the File menu. Either a hotkey or an icon on the top bar would be lovely!

Improved Rehearse with loop and fixed focus
I use the Rehearse function all the time, but setting the correct boundaries for the final cut often requires dozens of replays. It would be nice to have the option to specify a "post-roll" value, and have the Rehearse function loop endlessly through the selected area from pre-roll to post-roll.
The other part of my suggestion concerns focus. While rehearsing, one fiddles with the boundary markers, so its gets a bit annoying when they get out of view while the playhead sweeps through. So an option to lock the view on any part of the audio (the selected area, or…1 vote -
Reference source files instead of copy to project folder
I'm producing podcasts and notice that my source files (intro music, interview recordings, audio tags, etc.) are being duplicated in the project folder. Since I record ~1hr multitrack interviews, this adds up.
It would be great to have Hindenburg reference the source files similar to Final Cut Pro X or Lightroom.1 vote -
Reverse a section
I play songs for broadcast that have sections with explicit language. Would be great if I could reverse those sections so the music could stay in key and on tempo.

Zoom in
When you click "Command and +" to zoom in on content, that content should be centered automatically so that the section at the cursor is easy to see and work with.

keyboard shortcut for view statistics
It would be great to simply press one key instead of clicking Tools, View Statistics. Thank you!

Drag view / jump half screen
When editing a track (cutting out unnecessary repetitions, breaths, and such) the playhead sweeps over the region to be cut out, so one must scroll back to get the relevant part in view. Doing this with the scrollbar at the bottom is not easy - dragging the slider is too fast, clicking on the empty part of the scrollbar is too slow.
I see two good solutions to this problem which could be implemented simultaneously:
1. Some key + mouse drag transforms the cursor into a hand (like Space in Adobe Photoshop, or the Hand tool in Acrobat Reader), and…1 vote -
Warning when overwriting a file when publishing
I produce a podcast every day, and do this by trying to remember to "save as" a new file every day. I don't always remember.
When publishing audio, Hindenburg never checks if you're overwriting a file that already exists. This is not what normally happens on MacOS or Windows - you're normally told "do you want to overwrite this file?" or something - and this behaviour ought to be the default within Hindenburg, to my mind.
(I can see the merits of being able to switch an error message like this off, too).

Using Logitech MX Master 2S thumb wheel with Hindenburg Journalist
The ability of using the thumb wheel would be a nice feature for scrolling the audio. However, currently the rolling of the thumb wheel of the Logitech MX Master 2S mouse only moves the scroll box on the scrollbar, while the waveform display stays at the same position.
Maybe there is just a small setting to be reconfigured for this to work.

Move all markers 10-15 seconds earlier
USE CASE: Recording in-person customer interviews with your mobile app -- which is awesome by the way.
PROBLEM: my customer says something great. I add a marker. When I play back the audio from the marker, I always have to go backwards 10-15 seconds, because I set the marker after I realize something great was said, not before it. :) I have to do that with every marker made with the mobile device.
OPPORTUNITY: I believe you would be the only recording application which actually solves this problem for journalist, marketers and others.
if you solve the problem I would…

Please provide an e-mail address for your support staff. The website contact forms do not appear to work for me on a Windows 10 PC with Foxfire browser.

Support for in-app browsing of Garageband sounds/loops
The in app browser of media such as Garageband sounds and loops, or FinalCut sound effects, etc. is a handy feature of Apple's pro apps. It would be super helpful to be able to easily access these within Hindenburg.

Full Screen Mode
I love Full Screen Modes - press F11 and get a clutter-free screen, allowing you to focus entirely on your work. Is it difficult to implement?

Sample Projects for practice
I would like to Journalist Pro have some practice exercises created so new users could get some hands on experience. These projects would include the audio files with basic instructions. Here are some examples that I would like to see.
*Radio news story with one actuality included
*Radio news story with two actualities included
*Radio News feature with multiple interviews
*Radio Commercial :60 with narration, background music and ambience
* Five minute mini podcast to edit from start to finish
These examples I believe would allow new users to learn some valuable skills as the complexity of the assignments increased…1 vote -
Hindenburg Journalist Pro
I upgraded to Hindenburg Journalist Pro but my version still says Hindenburg when I open it up. My understanding is this:
"You will also see "Hindenburg Journalist PRO" in the title bar at the top of the program."
How can I verify that I'm using Journalist Pro?

Reverse audio
Thank you for the opportunity to try out Journalist Pro, so far the acquaintance
has been quite nice. Nevertheless there is one feature I miss or can't find. Is it possible to reverse a audiofile in editing or to change the speed?1 vote -
Support for (educational) screencasts
I think it would be an major improvement to add the possibility of importing a video track, so one can see the video in Hindenburg Journalist directly while recording the voiceover track.
This would be a great incentive for all VLOGGers as well to use HJ.1 vote -
Open in SADiE
Interchangeability with Sadie would be great because that is the DAW used throughout BBC Radio

Toggle solo / mute
To quickly compare to versions, it would be nice to toggle with one click between soloed tracks. Quite common in other DAWs.
Currently, you need at least to two clicks - solo track A, de-solo (or mute) track B. Plus stop if you want to avoid to hear two tracks simultaneously for a brief moment.A one-click toggle (cmd-click solo, for example) would let you focus on the difference in sound instead of fiddling with the buttons.
A previous request by another user has been answered thus:
"Option-click will now toggle mute and solo for all tracks. Included in 1.52.2110"…1 vote -
Able to record
Hi,
Can you please add recording from skype/zoom/facetime to Journalist?
I work for a community radio station and produce the show from home so started Journalist trial. The show is with someone else but to do the show I need to record it via zoom and add it to the software.
I was hoping I could record direct but seems only possible on Pro. If Journalist is for journalists and those like me who aren't professional and in need for Pro features but carry out joint projects, it would be great to add this feature.
Can't justify the extra cost…1 vote
