Templates for ID3 Tagging
It would be great if you could add templates for the Podcast ID3 tagging under properties... there are just so many items to fill out and for episodes of a show, that is a silly amount of work to do over and over again. Not only that, but it is hard to remember exactly how you did the previous episode without pulling it up.
This means I need to export the mp3, use the ID3 Tag Editor, look at a previous episode, etc. and can't just push directly from Hindy to libsyn.

96khz support would be a huge help.
Hi, I have been using Hindenburg for several years as a podcaster (findtheconversation.com, tucsonense.com) and 44.1khz has always been ample for my independent production needs. However, in my professional life, I am an oral historian at the University of Arizona Libraries, where we recently purchased Hindenburg to help clean up and edit our archival audio. Because we are an archive, we work entirely at 96khz/24bit. I realize this audio resolution may still be a bit niche, but it would be exciting to see that capability added to Hindenburg.
Thank you!

Text/Narration parallel to the audio wave
In times when more and more audio transcriptions in better quality is available (e.g. Trint), it would be nice to combine these transcriptions with its time stamps and attach them to the audio in Hindenburg exactly in time, like it is possible in Audacity with captions.

Compatible with izotope Rx plug in
Hey guys,
RX is now available as a plug in, compatible with most DAWs.
https://www.izotope.com/en/products/repair-and-edit/rx-plug-in-pack.html
Can you talk with them and get the plug in sorted out. Win win for both of you, and they need to know you are there to cater for.17 votes -
Affiliate Program
Podcasters are in love with affiliate programs to monetize their stuff... Every podcaster should be using your software to edit... it is awesome.
This is a cool service I recommend - several companies I like use it: https://www.refersion.com?rfsn=280857.7b3ac (yes it is an affiliate link)
Hope to see you set one up... so when I create the ultimate podcast course I can monetize it ;-)

Unfortunately we still don’t have the resources to get an affiliate program in place. However, we will be moving to a new payment solution in the next months that will have an affiliate option built in, so once we have that daunting project in place, we will look into the implementation of the affiliate program option.
Thanks for your continued support everyone.

Allow audio level to be increased more than +15 dB
As a public affairs journalist, sometimes I have to rely on others for audio — court proceedings, for example — and sometimes it comes in way too low, even after increasing it the maximum 15 dB. In these cases, I could maximize the level, export, reimport, and increase the level again. But typically I just open the file in Adobe Audition and do the increase there.
I'm sure there's a reason for the 15 dB cap, but it would be nice to be able to exceed it when necessary.
Thanks for considering it!

Narration view configurable
On a small laptop screen it can be a problem to see all of the text, if the book has a bigger width. The text is not breaking! Flexibility with the display of the text being narrated in the narration view would surely be appreciated: Font Family, Font size, background color, highlighting color configurable by the user.

Saving effect presets
I'm missing the functionality of saving presets of effects or VST's.
So you can choose from your favorite settings instead of recreating them each time.16 votes -
Mixing Stereo Down to Mono
Instead of splitting stereo tracks to the left and right, I wish there were a way to combine them together, "mixing it down to mono," for a fuller sound. Audacity does this reasonably well.

Lock Track
Add a LOCK TRACK button so that an individual track can be locked so other editing operations will not change it. All regions would stay in place on that track and could not be deleted if locked.
Journalist PRO is GREAT!!!!!
This control could be added to this drop-down in the photo attached. Then the blue could turn red to show the track is locked.

Support for double-ender recordings (SquadCast, Ringr, Zencastr, etc.)
Since quality from Skype and Google Hangouts is often dodgy (not studio quality), and not fool-proof (e.g. difficult to get secondary, back-up recordings), I use SquadCast and Ringr as my preferred platforms for double-ender recordings. It would be fantastic if Hindenburg Journalist PRO could natively support dealing and integrating with one or more of these platforms.

Text editor/scroller
I would like a built-in basic text editor for writing a script that would then be saved automatically with the audio files for a particular project.
It would be useful if the script could be scrolled across the screen autocue-style while recording in Hindenburg.14 votes -
Improved handling of cue points
Working with cue points is very uncomfortable, they are not listed in the marker window, so it's hard to keep an overview. Could you list them in there or give them their own window?

Resync tracks
You know how it goes: you're editing a multitrack file, think you're deleting portions from all the tracks and five minutes later realize you'd only activated one track, thus pushing much of the project out of sync.
Cmd-z to the rescue, but that means losing all the cuts you've made.
So what about a way to restore the sync between two or more audio files? I'm not quite sure how to implement it UI/UX wise, but I'm pretty sure that even a clumsy version would be super helpful.
Very preliminary sketch of the result attached in clumsy screenshots.

A horizontal line for sound level
I'd love to be able to place a line, that you could see and that would reach from one end of the track window to the other side, at a certain decibel level. That would help set all fades in different places to the same level. So if I always start my vocals over music when the music has faded to a certain point, I can then easily replicate that by seeing a horizontal line, which can be adjusted up or down, to ensure that I align my next inserted vocal at the point the music reaches the same level.

I want more colors!
This is the only feature I miss from the previous editing software I used: the ability to color different regions different colors. It helped me, particularly, to keep things sorted in stories with more than two or three different speakers. A bonus feature was that the old program allowed me to select all of the regions of the same color. Thanks!
11 votesWe do have plans for many more colours in Hindenburg 2.0
We do not have any release date at the moment -
Export multiple tracks
Currently Hindenburg can export either a single track (by soloing it) or a downmix of all channels. In our workflow we would benefit from having a way to export all tracks separately with one command–nowadays you have to solo the channel, export, wait for the export, solo a different channel, export etc. See attached image for how Ableton Live does it.

Smoother Scrolling
Scrolling around in Hindenburg's editor is visually slow and choppy, I would love this smoothed out with hardware acceleration.

Full DAW for iOS
As many media content providers are using the iPad in favour of a laptop, it would make perfect sense to offer a fully featured DAW.
The success of apps such as Lumafusion and FilmicPro and Affinity photo are leading the way... but we are still waiting for the first serious iOS DAW11 votes -
Duplicate track
Once you have applied plugins to a track it would be very usefull to be able to copy or duplicate the track - complete with its plugins settings and perhapsalso audiofiles.
For example if I edit version one then I want to continue with the short version or the alternative edit version two.
Thats when I miss the duplicate track utility.// thanks
